Customer payment vs business collection
A customer usually sees the full product price at Buy Goods checkout. The business collection fee is deducted from the amount received, so sellers should account for it when setting prices.

Business Till fees explained
A Business Till is designed for accepting Buy Goods payments. Safaricom's published Business Till tariff says the business owner is charged up to 0.5% of money collected, capped at KSh 200 per transaction, while collections of KSh 200 and below are free. The customer-facing Buy Goods payment is generally free, except at fuel stations.
That means the charge belongs in your product pricing, not as a surprise after a sale. If you accept a KSh 5,000 payment, a 0.5% collection fee is KSh 25, leaving KSh 4,975 before other business costs. Use the calculator above to turn that individual number into a monthly estimate.

Sending money, paying another Till, paying a utility, and agent withdrawals are separate transactions with their own tariffs. This page deliberately keeps the collection calculation separate.
